Seminar with best practice models for effective multi-provider management

The time of big outsourcing mega-deals is definitely over. Increasingly, services are being sourced in a selective and differentiated manner in order to combine them with internal services or other external services. The aim is always to achieve an optimal sourcing mix in order to use the best service offering and, for example, to purchase applications or parts of the IT infrastructure as a service. The selection, connection, control and exchange of different parties in the multi-provider ecosystem poses new challenges to the organizational structure and processes of the company. The right level of management and formal control must be found in order to optimize costs and risks on the one hand and to increase innovation and agility on the other.

The objective of the seminar is to provide an overview of approaches from existing best practice models and to show the organizational and procedural framework for effective multi-provider management by means of concrete examples.

  • Market development and current trends - Digital transformation as an opportunity and challenge
  • "Governance": how can the English term best be translated? Background, history, meaning and demarcation
  • Why do contracts fail?
  • Overview and insight into best practice frameworks and governance concepts (SIAM, COBIT, IT4IT, ISO 38500) and their interaction
  • Organization: which roles will be needed in the future to ensure multi-provider management? Which skills are required?
  • Getting to know instruments and tools
  • Practical examples: experiences, Do's and Dont's, case study "Challenger”
Target group

The seminar is aimed at IT decision makers, provider managers, service managers, service brokers, sourcing professionals and business relationship managers
